The legalization of cannabis has been a subject of debate in Poland for many years , with several draft laws currently under consideration. The Ministry of Health has recently come out in favor of decriminalizing cannabis.

For many years, the Wolne Konopie (Free Hemp) association has been one of the most well-known movements for the legalization of cannabis in Poland. Cooperation with left-wing politicians led to the drafting of a bill to decriminalize the possession of 25 grams of cannabis and the cultivation of up to four cannabis plants.
In June 2024, an important meeting was held with a representative of the Ministry of Health, who stated that the Ministry of Health was ready to support the bill to decriminalize the possession of 25 grams of cannabis and the cultivation of 4 cannabis plants.
