Job Summary
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in the UK with expertise in sales within the cannabis industry. This is a critical role requiring a proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the medical community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a robust network of healthcare professionals (HCPs), including physicians, specialists, and researchers, with a focus on building strong relationships and trust.
- Provide scientific and clinical expertise on our products and therapies to HCPs.
- Identify and cultivate KOLs who can serve as advocates for our company and products.
- Conduct scientific presentations and educational activities to increase awareness and understanding of our products and therapeutic areas.
- Gather and analyze market research data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective communication and alignment of goals.
Qualifications:
- Advanced scientific degree (PhD, PharmD, or equivalent) with a strong understanding of the relevant therapeutic area.
- Minimum of 5 years of MSL experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with key opinion leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex scientific information to a variety of audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- In-depth knowledge of the UK healthcare landscape and regulatory environment.
Essential Requirement:
- Provable book of business: Candidates must be able to demonstrate a strong existing network of HCPs with whom they have established relationships.
